The use of proper media
in high-speed milling is of utmost importance. As an established
designer and builder of grinding, dispersing and mixing equipment,
Draiswerke knows. Draiswerke offers a variety of high quality grinding
beads for a wide range of applications:
Sili-Quarzite
is a specially formulated silica glass compound. Sili-Quarzite is
available in a high-density version for demanding grinding tasks.
A lead free Sili-Quarzite with a lower density is also available.
Draisal
beads are among the toughest grinding media available
on the market today. Manufactured from aluminum oxide, they have
shown extremely high wear resistance in long duration laboratory
tests and critical field applications.
Chromanite
beads are made
from 52100 series ball bearing steel. Their hardness is rated at
63 Rockwell "C".
Ferro
Spheres are
steel shot grinding media with hardness rating of 48-52 Rockwell
"C"
